A fun bracelet made from jump rings, presta valve nuts, hand wired black czech glass round beads and hand wired black czech glass "Chucks." Closure is a snap.
A modern take on a vintage look. Black and silver striped resin circular beads, chain rollers and gunmetal beads make up this gorgeous necklace. Finishing it off is a large, fancy silver toggle.
This necklace is made exclusively of bone/horn beads and silver spoke nipples. The focal point is a large center bead, ivory in color, flanked by beads in various shades of browns and ivory.
Large round red wood beads decorate this bracelet, along with chain rollers between them. At the ends of the bracelet are silver bumpy spacers and a silver circle toggle clasp.

Wondering about me? :)
Jodey
I've been riding my mountain bike for almost a year...not that we have mountains where I live in NC. But we do have trails and they are quite fun! I've been taking photos for a year and a half and I love it. And now I've started making jewelry that incorporates bike parts. It's cool, funky and unique. Take a look and email me if you see something you like!
If you see something you like but you need it in a different size, email me and tell me what you need! I can make jewelry to your measurements.
If you have an idea in mind and would like for me to try to make it for you, shoot me an email and I'll see what I can put together for you.
The use of the word SILVER in my descriptions: I do not use anything that is sterling silver. When I use the world silver, it is in reference to color of the component only.
In addition, each piece is handcrafted, so yours will not look exactly like the ones you see pictured here. Please allow for slight differences in color and design on beads. If there is a drastic change in the look of the item due to bead availability, etc, I will contact you and let you know. We can work together to come up with a mutually suitable solution.
Bike Parts I Use
Please see this post for photos of each type of bike part I incorporate in my jewelry.
You also may be wondering if I use new or used bike parts. The answer is both. Some things I just can't get used or can't use if they are used - primarily spoke nipples and caged bearings. I'm also having trouble finding black chains, so I have had to purchase a second chain from which to get black parts.
The silver chains I use (and if I find other color chains, I'll use them too!) are reclaimed from the piles of chains every bike shop has from repair work. I degrease them using a citrus degreaser, break them up for the pieces I need and clean them again with degreaser and a toothbrush and cloth. I can't guarantee I get every single speck of dirt and grime off, because I'm sure I don't. But I do my best to get off as much as I can. I don't want grease and grime to transfer to your skin - so if I can see it, I get it off.
I also use presta valve nuts that are reclaimed from the bike shops I get my chains from. They are cleaned by me, but again, every little speck of dirt isn't off them and they aren't all shiny - but then presta valve nuts aren't supposed to be..some of them are shinier then others. Shiny or not, they look awesome in jewelry!
As far as the spoke nipples, if I have any colored ones in stock, they will be anodized alloy nipples. Black and silver are *usually* brass nipples, but I do have a few alloy ones. Alloy is lighter than brass, but a lot more expensive. If you have a preference, please let me know, otherwise the black and silver will likely be of the brass variety.
